Sunny Day

When you live in the Northwest, you come to really appreciate the rare sunny day, especially when it falls on a weekend or holiday. The stars must be in alignment because today we were blessed with a sunny day free from work and pre-school. When the gray clouds dissapear and the sun beams down, this island becomes a jewel with sparking clear water that laps on the rocky coast, vibrant green ferns, cedars and mosses and a big blue sky with occasional views of snow-capped mountains. Today, we decided to enjoy this rare opportunity to get outside and discover again why this place is so special.
